IN rural COMMUNITIES
Seeds for Progress is a non-profit organization committed to transforming lives through quality education in rural communities within Central America. Our work complements the generational handover of knowledge and know-how. Local teams help facilitate skill development and create opportunities for improvement.
Since our beginnings over 10 years ago in Nicaragua, we have expanded our vision of progress and conviction that education is the seed that powers the transformation of lives and brings sustainable progress, socio-economic development, and personal fulfillment to children and youth of rural communities in Guatemala.

MISsION
Facilitate management processes and skills development for integration into rural community life, creating opportunities for innovation and learning. We aim to integrate knowledge through generational splicing in all programs, contributing to the social and productive growth of coffee communities.

HOW WE DO IT
EDUCATION IS THE SEED THAT POWERS THE TRANSFORMATION OF LIVES
We connect children in coffee communities to schooling, health, and information they need to create new opportunities and build a future.
We promote of active-learning methodologies, professional development for teachers, in-classroom support, child labor prevention, technical formation and the development of life projects for children and youth complemented with infrastructure projects that provide safe and adequate spaces for children´s learning.
Through productive and purposeful participation in their local environment, we promote sustainable development and help coffee communities flourish.
